Percy "Master P" Miller

Percy "Master P" Miller is a rapper, record producer, and actor who also has a significant footprint in entrepreneurship. He founded the record label No Limit Records in 1991, which later evolved into New No Limit Records and No Limit Forever Records. This venture has been a key launchpad for his multifaceted career.

Miller's rise to fame began in the mid-1990s as the lead member of the hip-hop group TRU. His fifth solo album, "Ice Cream Man," released in 1996, and its lead single of the same name, were substantial successes. Another of his singles, "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" from 1997, achieved platinum certification by the RIAA. To date, Master P has released a total of 15 studio albums, further cementing his place in the music industry.

Master P is also the founder and CEO of P. Miller Enterprises and Better Black Television. He has leveraged his business acumen to venture into various industries, such as food and drink, with products like Uncle P rice, pancake mix and syrup, Icon noodles and potato chips, and LA Great Beverages. He's also established brands in the fashion industry with Moneyatti clothing and shoes, and in the household goods sector with Master Clean Life products.

In addition to his entrepreneurial and music careers, Miller has a robust acting portfolio. He has appeared in numerous feature and straight-to-DVD films and has starred in television shows such as "Romeo!", which aired on Nickelodeon from 2003 to 2006. In 2020, he released a five-part BET docuseries called "No Limit Chronicles," which shares stories of his career as a record executive and businessman.

Miller has also had a professional basketball career, having played for two NBA teams: the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors. Beyond his own sporting experience, he has coached the AAU team, the P. Miller Ballers, mentoring players who have gone on to have successful careers in the NBA.

A key facet of Miller's career is his commitment to philanthropy. He founded the Team Hope Foundation, servicing at-risk youth and senior citizens in communities across the US. He has also dedicated time to communities through the P. Miller Youth Centers and the P. Miller Food Foundation for the Homeless.

Over the years, Miller's contributions to music and entrepreneurship have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2001, he won the award for "Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist" at the American Music Awards. He was also the first hip hop artist to be inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2013. In May 2021, Miller received an honorary doctorate from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.
